Actually you are wrong.. for some reason water does spiral down drains in opposite directions in the north and south hemisphere..

thats because of the opposite orientations to the earth's rotation and gravitational force in the north and south hemispheres. (geology major)

thats weird, cuz i coulda sworn that last time i was in australia the water went down the toilet in the opposite direction. and anyway it couldnt be the Coriolis effect, thats the same thing as saying the Foucault pendulum changes which way trees fall over.
